Accounts

Anyone may sign in, and the email address is the account. What you can see and do is decided by the roles the organizations that add you give you — Fireveyor LLC’s own, a business’s, or a property owner’s — and any of them may change or withdraw it at any time. Access is yours alone: do not pass on a code, a sign-in link or a signed-in browser.

What it is for

Assessing property lots for wildfire readiness, producing reports for their owners, keeping each property’s record, naming local businesses that do the work, and — where Fireveyor LLC is the contractor — keeping the record of that work. Use it for that and nothing else. What is in it is confidential to Fireveyor LLC and to the people it is about, and stays that way after your access ends.

A report is not an inspection

A report describes a property as it can be judged from public sources, from what Fireveyor recorded, and from what the owner said. It is a desktop risk assessment. It is not an official inspection, not a finding of any government or fire agency, and not an order to do anything; Fireveyor LLC is not a government or fire agency. Nothing here is legal, insurance or engineering advice. Check the facts and the applicable code before anything is acted on.

The assessment, the work, and who pays whom

The assessment is free and neutral. Fireveyor LLC is not a licensed contractor yet. Published prices and a local crew follow the day a California license is active. Until then, nothing is quoted and nothing is contracted.

No business pays to be named in a report, and Fireveyor LLC pays nobody — not a homeowner, not an agent, not another contractor — for a referral. Nothing of value is offered to an owner for choosing any business, including Fireveyor LLC. A business’s license is printed wherever the business is shown, and the owner is responsible for checking it. Work Fireveyor LLC does itself is done under a written home improvement contract, signed no sooner than the day after a visit, and that contract governs the work; these terms govern the site.

What you put in

You are responsible for what you enter and attach — that you are entitled to have it, and that it is accurate. Fireveyor LLC may read, correct or remove anything in the product in the course of running it. An address you type is stored in one standard spelling — the Postal Service’s abbreviations, so that every record, report and envelope carries the same line — which means what is kept may not be character-for-character what you typed.

The address boxes, and the one thing that leaves while you type

Every box on this site that asks for an address offers you addresses as you type. To do that, the characters you have typed into that box are sent to Fireveyor LLC’s server, which asks a free public map service for the addresses that match and shows you what it says. This happens before you press anything, on the public pages as well as inside the product, and it is the only thing here that works that way. Your browser never talks to the map service, nothing about you is sent with the characters, and nothing is kept; the privacy page says what goes and what does not, in full. The suggestions are a convenience and not a warranty: the map service is somebody else’s, it may be wrong, it may be unavailable, and an address you pick from it is yours to check. If you would rather not use them, type the address and ignore them — every box works without them.

No warranty, and what we are not liable for

Fireveyor is provided as it is. It may change, break or stop, with or without warning, and nothing here promises that it will be available, correct or fit for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Fireveyor LLC is not liable for any loss arising from its use, including work done or not done on the strength of a report. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Changes

These terms can change. The date above says when they last did, and using Fireveyor after that means the terms as they then read.
