Fireveyor

Neighborhoods

The assessment is the same for every parcel in California; the ground is not. The crew goes to these counties first, in this order, and inside each to these neighborhoods.

An outline of California, from the Oregon line to the Mexican border, with the counties the crew goes to first numbered in that order. Numbered in the order the crew goes first. Each number stands on the county seat; a county's own line is not drawn. Outline: plotted by hand from the state's corners, capes and bay at the coordinates the gazetteers print, to four decimal places. Not read from a boundary file. A drawing, not a survey.
  1. 01Sonoma County

The first county, and the one whose own parcel layers, fire districts and evacuation zones this product has verified by hand: oak woodland and vineyard edges in the valleys, redwood and fir along the river, and hillside neighborhoods rebuilt to current code inside the cities.

What is the same everywhere

The fourteen topics, CAL FIRE's hazard maps for every county, the county's own parcel data and evacuation zones where we have verified its layers, and a person reading imagery beside the record. Your fire district and responsibility area are read off the maps, never guessed from the town.

Anywhere in California. Nobody visits, and nothing is kept until you say so.

As you type, a public map service suggests addresses. It never learns who asked.
